Javier Sierra Pierna – President
After
his unforgettable experience in Roma as an Erasmus
student, Javier has returned to Salamanca to study
a master on Economic Analysis of Law and Public Policies.
He has experience in the MUN arena as both a delegate
and an organizer and in the previous editions of the
Model United Nations University of Salamanca, he has
been working in different EXCOM’s positions. Right
now he is in charge of MUNUSAL.
It is an honor and a pleasure for him to work with
the outstanding group of people who forms the MUNUSAL
association. The course 2009/10 presents important
goals to the association, but it is easy to face them
when your team is full of deeply concerned students
who have great ideas and an insatiable thirst for
learning new things and meeting new people.
He has been involved in many and very different activities
and loves travelling, reading and spending long nights
talking with friends while listening to great music.

Sofia García García – Vice
President in Foreign Affairs
Sofía García
takes care of the external relations of MUNUSAL. Apart
form making contact with foreign universities, she
mainly represents MUNUSAL in front of EMUNNET, the
European Model United Nations Network of which MUNUSAL
is a founder.
She is studying a Masters in International Relations at The New School of New York and her academic interests are on development and global governance amongst others. She already holds an MA on European Union Studies and her undergraduate Studies are in Political Sciences and Journalism.
She loves dancing (specially at MUNUSAL parties…), talking with friends, sitting down on New York parks just to watch the people going by and watching old movies.
Her first wish regarding the MUNs is that more and more new students from all different disciplines discover how interesting, fruitful and fun is to participate in such a unique activity, both for oneself and for the university community. |

Luis de Santiago Redondo – Registries Manager
Luis
(Salamanca, 1987) is currently studying the 5th and
last year of his Law degree as an Erasmus student
at the University College of Dublin. He took contact
with the MUN experience by chance two years ago in
the 1st edition of MUNUSAL, where he took part as
a journalist, reporting from the Security Council,
role that he also performed in ZAGIMUN 2008, but
his MUN experience doesn´t
finish here, in the last edition of MUNUSAL he represented
Uganda in the Security Council.
As a result of his curiosity and interest for all
that involves running a MUN, he decided to be an
active part of 2010 MUNUSAL´s organization
by being a member of the Ex-Com as the Recruitment
Manager, which represents a challenge and at the
same time reflects his compromise with the development
and growth of MUNUSAL as one of the most particular
MUNs throughout Europe.
