Carl-Georg Plum
I was born and raised close to Duisburg, the very
west of Germany.
I study "Peace & Politics Studies" at
the University of Bradford, but thanks to the Erasmus
program I have the possibility to study for one
year in Salamanca.
Participating in BIMUN 2008 I caught the MUN Virus
and since then I have participated in various MUN's
around Europe.
When I'm not traveling, studying or enjoying Salamanca's
great nightlife, I like to read a book, watch a
movie, go running or to the gym.

never living." (Ralph Waldo Emerson )

Dimiter Mandradjiev

in FEB 1986 and a month later he moved to sunny
Cairo, Egypt for 3 years. His primary education
was in the UN's Baghdad International School
in Iraq.
He has an excellent bachelor degree in International
relations program from New Bulgarian University
in Sofia. On many occasions he was awarded with
scholarships for excellent grades. Now he's preparing
to obtain a Masters degree in International business.
One of Dimiter's main commitments is in trying
to build a better deal for Bulgarian citizens.
The membership in various organizations like
The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, founder and chairman
of the national union "Treasure the Bulgarian

of the SOFIMUN foundation are only part of his
activities related at NGO level. He tries to

own communication group company SVETU Ltd.
Dimiter became addicted to MUNs in Vienna in
2007. Since then 3 ZAGIMUNs, THESSISMUN, UNISCA,
MOSTIMUN, NAPOMUN, BIMUN (Bonn) and other MUN
events - national and international - the aftermath
says: more than 10 MUNs and 5 times chairperson

María
Llopis
My name is María Llopis and I come from Valencia (Spain). I graduated in Physiotherapy at the University Cardenal Herrera CEU in Valencia, and in Political Sciences at the University of Salamanca. Once I finished my Physiotherapy studies I decided to change my path and started studying Political Sciences in Valencia (Spain)a. After taking part in MUNUSAL 2008, I was so thrilled with the experience that I took the second most important decision of my academic life: moving to Salamanca in order to finish my Political Sciences studies. And that's how I got here.
I've always thought that University gives you many opportunities to find your future. These I found first with the university debates, a world to which I devoted an important part of my student life, organizing and taking part in many conferences and tournaments, like the Liga de Debate de Castilla y León, LIDECYL 2006. After that I heard about the MUN and I took part in the Iberoamerican Summit of MUNUSAL 08, where I received a best delegate award.
I was told that once you get into this world it is difficult to get out of it. For that reason I am pleasured and honoured to be summoned to [chair] at the Summit. One of those opportunities that I mentioned is without a doubt this luck of mine to share time with extraordinary people.

Flavia
Dobre
Despite the fact that it killed the cat, curiosity
seems to be a state of mind she has not grown
out of upon leaving behind childhood. As curiosity
turned into a drive to know and understand everything,
Flavia is essentially a private-eye by day and
night, constantly investigating and piecing clues
together. It doesn’t surprise anyone that
jigsaw-puzzles, both literally and metaphorically
speaking, top the list of her preferred leisure
activities.
Flavia is keen on becoming involved in peacemaking,
specifically the socio-humanitarian branches
of peacebuilding and conflict mediation. To that
end, having received her BA in International
Relations and European Studies from the University
of Bucharest, Flavia is currently enrolled in
a master’s programme of Advanced International
Studies with the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
Throughout her time spent in undergraduate and
graduate studies, she attended MEU Strasbourg,
the Balkan Case Challenge, UBMUN, SiMUN and NapoMUN.
At present, she is delighted to have the opportunity
to chair ECOSOC at MUNUSAL 2010, as she has been
eternally fascinated by the UN and is always
eager to discover it in as many ways as possible.
Thomas Reese
Born and raised in Cologne, Germany, I am currently studying Politics at the University of Konstanz in the south of Germany. In 2009 I graduated in International Relations and Security Studies at the University of Bradford. Like many others I can say that my very first MUN got me hooked, since then I have enjoyed participating, advising, and working in the field of Model United Nations. I have heard many great stories about Salamanca and MUNUSAL and I am looking forward to seeing you all at MUNUSAL 2010.

Omar El-Helw
Born 23 years ago on hot day of May and raised in the great city of Cairo
capital of Egypt, with Palestinian spirit and environment, due to his blood
and family origins.
Omar was graduated from Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia, Canada with
Bachelor of Business & Technology in 2008. He realized his field is not the
best to fit him after 3 years of studying, therefore, his clear interest in
negotiation, conflict resolution and political science led him to graduate
from Georgetown University from it's summer school held in Crete, Greece
(International Institute for Political and Economic Institute) with Bachelor
of Political Science in 2008. He also was participant, facilitator,
organizer and observer in a number of conflict resolution, peace and
decision-making workshops, small modules of United Nations, problem-solving
and mediation cases in his home college in Cairo. He also gained second
place with SIFE coordination team with his college mates. First MUN
appearance was at first version of Zagreb Model United Nations back in 2007.

Alexandra
Matei
Alexandra describes herself as a summer-girl
trapped in a mountain-city 800 km away from her
hometown-Galati, Romania. 3 years back she
had no single clue about where life will take
her; she only knew that if the world needs a
change, then she has to be part of that change.
So, she ended up studying Political Science at
Babyes-Bolyai University which was not a strategic
rational choice, but pure attraction. Because
one thing leads to another, she felt for the
MUN virus in a blink of an eye once she took
the floor at SiMUN 2008. Her MUN experience,
after participating at SOFIMUN and ZAGIMUN, culminated
in organizing NapoMUN 2009 which she can proudly
say “it’s her baby”.
Dedicated to her dreams, Alexandra is passionate
about international relations, ethnopolitics,
multiculturalism, human rights as well as security
studies. She also identifies herself as a promoter
of intercultural dialogue bearing in mind the
need of understanding and helping the others.
Following a carrer-path in diplomacy, she finds
essential to never stop pursuing your dreams
and strive for a more peaceful global community.
“Twenty years from now you will be more
disappointed by the things that you didn't do
than by the ones you did . So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade
winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark
Twain
