The Cultural and Youth Association Model United Nations (MUN), University of Salamanca (USAL) was created as a vehicle for the students of the USAL to interact with the MUN community not only inside Spain, but also around the globe.

Since its conception, the association has already taken an active role in various prestigious models abroad, such as the Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN), the Geneva International Model United Nations (GIMUN), the Milan International Model United Nations (MILMUN), the Vienna Model United Nations (VIMUN) and the Zagreb Model United Nations (ZAGIMUN), along with other national models such as the Catalonia Model of United Nations (CMUN) and many more.

Experiencing an exponential growth within the numbers of its members, the Association is working on seeking and aiding the creation of potential leaders and encouraging its associates to work as ambassadors for the University to the outside world.

Currently, its projections for the future are to expand their ambitious involvement in the Academic Diplomatic Community. With the great success marked by its first Model United Nations, the Association is working on creating the second Model United Nations in Spain, which will be sponsored by the University of Salamanca –the cradle of International Law.
